My last shot from my afternoon at Long Reef Beach (not chronologically, but in terms of uploads to dA)

I have been experimenting with graduated filters, both on camera filters and ones in lightroom, attempting to get correct exposures for both the sky and the foregrounds etc, but this shot was alluding me in the field, i wasn't able to balance well using my on-camera filters, so I took 2 exposures and did a manual blend in photoshop. I'm especally happy with the detail in the clouds around the sun, don't think I would have got that otherwise.

Its alot more work in camera and post, but i'm pleased with the results. Definately a method I will keep in my bag of tricks!
