It was 4 degrees out on the surface of Lake Eyre this morning, but the wind chill factor perhaps rendered it more like minus 4. Despite the icy temperatures the sunrise was absolutely incredible and well worth venturing out of my swag.

This shot was taken just prior to sunrise, you can see the half moon shining through those incredible pink clouds.
