I had been taking a bunch of shots at the waters edge before I realised that the sun was casting rays of light though the clouds, so I madly scampered around the rock platform taking a whole bunch of different shots before the rays disappeared. Fortunately for me, they hung around for ages and after taking this shot I just chilled out awhile and watched the changing light. Then hit the camera again and got my other shots that you might have already seen.
Used a Hitech Reverse GND (3x stop) and a Hitech GND (2x) to even out the exposure
Wow what a stunning vista, technically i like how the exposure is even through out the image with the sun rays in the background and the reflections of the clouds in the foreground captured with lovely detail, my only niggle is that both of these compete for attention at a certain level but that's only my personal opinion and not meant as a serious critique to my eyes there at least two independent shots in this image one a crop starting at the top edge of the pond bringing the sun rays into more prominence would be one option the other option would be to take it starting from the end of the edge of the blue stones (?) thus balancing out the image.
Overall though like i said above its a stunning image on its own merits
